The hyper-sexualisation of queer womxn has lead to majority feeling unsafe, scared and belittled in their identity or relationship. The reality is that we’ve normalised the sexualisation of womxn and we’re here to tell you stop sexualising queer womxn.

Our campaign highlights the raw reality of sexualising queer womxn and the lived experiences of those who are dealing with the aftermath.

The stop sexualising queer womxn campaign hopes to update views and opinions in relation to same sex relationships. Many of the experiences shared show similiarities, it starts to make you wonder why so many of us go through similar situations yet nothing is being done to address the problem?

The media is largely to blame for the sexualising queer womxn – the porn industry doesn’t help either. With lesbian being one of the top searches, we’ve allowed society to profit of hyper-sexualised versions of ourselves. The answer isn’t to stop everything, it’s to update views & educate society what it means to be a queer womxn. Accepting that this narrative is part of the package when it comes to being queer needs to stay in the past.

Within this campaign, we have included a range of queer womxn from all parts of the world to highlight the intensity of the problem. Globally we face this sexualised alternative to the reality of how pure our love is. The main aim and reason why this campaign exists is so that other queer womxn know they’re not alone & together we can stand up for our rights.
