The patriarchal society in which we live suggests that women exist mostly, if not solely, for the pleasure of men. In this sense, most girls (not women) are sexualized by men (not boys) at a young age, with the expectation that we all enjoy it. So, it’s almost inconceivable then that TWO women would exist in a world that has nothing to do with male pleasure.

Because of this, the queer woman experience has been co-oped for the male gaze all to often. I mean, we can’t even have our own Insta hashtags without it being taken over by porn. But, we’re not here to participate in it for y’all. We never wanted your dick pics and we definitely don’t need y’all sliding into our DMs asking us who fucks whom? Queer women are not here to engage in performative behaviors for you or anybody else.
