Affirmations can improve your outlook on life and inner self-acceptance. Strengthening your self-worth by choosing to positivity affirm yourself every single day. This year; I’ve really been trying to incorporate daily affirmations into my life in order to switch negative thought patterns in exchange for a new, positive head space.
An affirmation is usually a short sentence that is repeated until you choose to believe what it is you’re saying. This technique challenges our conscious and unconscious mindset in order to motivate, inspire and guide us into a whole new confidence.
Being a member of the LGBTQI+ community, we are often shut down and told that our direction of life is wrong. Perhaps you’ve felt as if your relationship or own self is less valuable in comparison to a Hetrosexual lifestyle. Overtime we can adopt limiting and untrue beliefs of how we must be to identify as Queer. Hetronormative outlooks and homophobia can be placed upon us by our families, friends, cultures, religion and much more. These thoughts are unhealthy occupy our minds and can become completely exhausting.
Your worth as a human being is no less for wanting to be with the same-sex.
Thinking and speaking LGBTQI+ affirmations are a way of accepting your sexuality.
Empower your sexuality by reading these phrases in your head or aloud in a safe space:
I am proud of who I am
I love who I am
I am living my truth
My sexuality is a gift
I am full of self-love
I give up all judgement
I am releasing limiting beliefs that no longer serve me
I forgive those who do not understand me
Affirmations work best when you truly believe what you are saying – it’s okay if this takes numerous sessions to really believe and understand what you’re affirming. Focus on each word you speak and take your time. The more time you take reading these affirmations, the more effective they shall be.
