Seeva has revamped his indie debut album We Need to Talk with three brand new songs and a complimentary digital storybook.
A growing voice in the London queer scene, Seeva is kindly gifting their listeners with an extended version of the album, after making a later impression with fans and tastemakers alike.
The project expands on the artist’s original dive into love, loss, heartbreak and life from a queer British-Asian person’s perspective across 16 pop bops.
Seeva further develops the intricate world of We Need to Talk with an intimate, incredibly designed editorial storybook, creatively collaborating with fellow burgeoning fashion designers and photographers to transform the vibe and meaning behind each track from We Need to Talk into a dedicated snapshot.
Touching on the Deluxe album, Seeva describes: “The album was very much written as a sort of diary, and from its conception I’d always wanted to accompany it with visuals for each song.
The concept of an editorial storybook came from my love of fashion and wanting to capture a specific feeling that I’d felt when writing each song. As so much of the record is about identity, I ended up working with Shahfaq Shabaz and Faye Dickinson who can both relate to being South Asians living in the UK. It was an incredible opportunity to dive in deep to the album’s meaning with them.
I also reached out to some local London designers and found the perfect pieces to match the songs from Rahemur Rahman, 943UT and Alan Taylor, as well as sourcing some larger designers such as Maison Margeila, Dries van Notten and Roksanda.”
Seeva proves he is a truly exciting new voice with so much potential to rise in the British music industry. STREAM WE NEED TO TALK (DELUXE VERSION) + VIEW THE DIGITAL STORYBOOK
