Queer Sex Education- What they didn’t teach us at school. Our aim is to have an open discussion around sex, love & relationships to break down stigma’s.

Venus Libido – She/Her

Venus Libido is an illustrator, presenter and activist. She spent several years working within a variety of different art industries & has taken her experiences within the working world to build a platform that helps educate, uplift and inspire others.Venus’s illustration work has been featured all over the world and has featured in places such as Glamour, Vice, Womanizer and Paper.
 
Libido’s work is most known for breaking down taboos and challenging the social norms of society. Last year Venus produced ‘Private Parts’ an inclusive educational sex-ed show that not only educates but also leaves you laughing off your seat.
 

Rooster – They / Them

Rooster is the recipient of the Toronto Feminist awards. They are an Intimacy Coordinator in training and co-authored the “ethical guidelines” and “model bill of rights” at Erika Lust Films. They advocate for safety & better working conditions in the film industry.

Rukiat – She/Her

Rukiat (she/her) is an award-nominated sex educator who hopes to redefine sex education, making it more pleasure-focused and stigma-free. Rukiat has spoken at multiple events, podcasts, written articles, etc, all in hopes of challenging the stigma when it comes to sex. As a black womxn existing in a black body, Rukiat is determined to make sure that the future of sex ed is equal and inclusive for all.

Niamh and Hannah – She/Her

Niamh and Hannah founders of Lesbihonestofficial. The couple have been documenting their life together online since 2017. They are passionate about using their platform to be vocal about numerous issues relating to LGBTQ+ people especially the sexualisation of LGBTQ+ women and the legalisation of gay marriage in Northern Ireland.
 

Katie – She/Her

Katie is a researcher in Mental Health and LGBT+. She is a queer womxn who is also HSV+, and is passionate about de-stigmatising both mental and sexual health. 
 

Queer The Room

QueertheRoom is a Manchester-based entertainment and community engagement endeavor. It was founded by Elliss & Rhiannon in 2018. The two are committed to diversifying Manchester’s scene.

They strive to empower LGBTQ+ people and help them find their chosen families. They create inclusive spaces through events and the odd YouTube video. By collaborating with local venues, businesses and collectives they raise money for LGBTQ+ charities.
