Unity Pride talks to a range of queer creatives from different backgrounds to identify how we support creatives through COVID-19.

Char Bailey – She/Her

Char Bailey is a life coach, radio/podcast host, and activist. She was recently named top 100 visible lesbians by DIVA and the Guardian. She is a proud black lesbian autistic womxn and she’s passionate about using kindness to empower others.

Naomi Bennett – She/Her

Naomi Bennett is the CEO and founder of Lesflicks, a video-on-demand platform and film enthusiast website focused on the betterment of representation of lesbian/bisexual women on a global scale.

Zoë – She/Her

Zoë is the founder of FEMME FORTE (@wearefemmeforte), a sustainable and ethical streetwear brand. She launched the brand just last year, fuelled by a frustration at the fast fashion industry for their continued disregard for the environment and lack of inclusivity. Zoë’s also a part of the team at myGwork, a business community for LGBTQ+ professionals pushing for workplace equality and can often be found writing about human rights issues that affect the LGBTQ+ community.

Lois Georgina Brookes-Jones – She/Her

“Lolo is a poet based in the North West of England. She is a GRT (Gypsy Roma Traveller) activist and works to ensure LGBT+ GRT Rights and inclusion as co-founder of Traveller Pride. Lolo had a poetry film “Losing Phyllis” by its Kushti to Rokker, raising awareness of grief within the GRT community.”

Akeil Onwukwe-Adamson – He/Him

Akeil is a writer and creative who works in Fashion and Sportswear PR. He is the founder of Queer Bruk, an inclusive club night and platform that aims to bring Afro-Caribbean music to the Queer Community.

Ashton Attzs – They/Them

Ashton Attzs is a London based-artist: their paintings and illustrations are a vehicle to empower the everyday person. From the dreamy blues, to the cotton-candy pinks-popping against their charmingly distinctive, racially and gender- diverse animated characters. Their work is bold, joyful and unapologetic both in style and message.
